  • The module 0.5 to M2.0 of KG-worm gears are manufactured by using the method of Cold rolled forming.
  • For sake of Cold rolling processing, the hardness of helicoid surface has increased by work hardening. Cold rolling-worm gears has more excellent Mechanical properties than machined-worm gears. Reason is that the metallic fibrous structure has not cut.
  • After the surface hardness processed by cold rolling, it process increased by 1.2 to 1.3 times compared to the hardness of the original material.
    The hardness of helicoid surface become HB240 to 260.
  • Helicoid surface of cold rolling worm gear is like a mirror face. Cold rolling worm gear will extends the life of mating worm wheel compare with machined worm gear.
  • In case of the use of poly-acetal or soft material for worm wheel: If the mating gear of worm gear has processed of machining.
